[ads right [1]]Today, Aliph announced the second generation of the Jawbone Bluetooth headset. Although many refer to it as ”the Jawbone 2”, the manufacturer itself calls it just Jawbone. It is definitely true to its origins, it carries the same design language as the first one, but in a 50% smaller package. With its 2” (50mm) in length and less than 0.78” (20mm) in width, it won’t be a burden to carry it around.

Just as the first Jawbone (read its review here), it is touted for the noise reduction quality. Now using a “military-grade NoiseAssassin technology”, it is claimed to be better. The stated battery life is around 4 hours of talk time or up to 8 days of standby and when the battery dies, it can be recharged to 80% for half an hour and in full for less than 1 hour.

Jawbone can now be purchased through the manufacturer’s site, or AT&T, at a price of $130. The box includes the device, three ear buds, two regular leather ear loops, accompanied by two slimmer ones and chargers (wall and USB). The only color available at the moment is matte black, but the device will soon be available in silver and rose gold.
